First – this was a blast to play with and learn with.
It comes mostly put together. It comes with the longer cable for charging the battery, and an adapter for reading the SD card. It will need to be placed in the camera to do the video and pictures.
Most confusing before flight for me was figuring out exactly where the battery was and how to get it out to charge it. It’s under the camera, but the camera does not need to be removed, the entire compartment opens to get to the battery, camera intact.
When we first started it up, inside, the lights were very impressive. Lots of them.
I video ‘d while my son messed with it. And we had the video going when those happened, so it was another belly laugh to go back and watch those. The video is fantastic, very clear.
It does take a lot of getting used to as far as the controls. There’s a lot to keeping it balanced. And we couldn’t figure out how to get it to return to us. By the time we figured out there was actually a return button, we ‘d run out the battery. So, perhaps another day.

Great fun, but there is a definite learning curve, and with only an 8 minute battery life, it takes a few times to achieve it. It’s pretty light weight.
